As the Cluster Hotel General Manager, the position will hold full accountability for the strategic, financial, and operational performance of the assigned properties. Leveraging deep expertise in hotel management and profound understanding of the luxury hospitality market, it will drive brand standards, guest satisfaction, and financial success. With a focus on delivering unparalleled guest experiences and fostering an engaging team culture, the successful candidate will lead multiple properties to set new standards in service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement short- and long-term strategies to meet business goals, enhance profitability, and optimize operational efficiencies across all properties.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee daily hotel operations to ensure that each property consistently delivers the highest quality service, maintains brand standards, and achieves optimal operational performance.
- Financial Stewardship: Drive revenue growth and profitability through effective budgeting, forecasting, and expense control; maintain comprehensive knowledge of P&L and performance metrics to make data-informed decisions.
- Guest Experience: Champion guest satisfaction by setting and monitoring service standards, fostering a culture of service excellence, and implementing best practices that exceed guest expectations.
- Team Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of department heads and managers across multiple properties, fostering a culture of engagement, accountability, and professional growth.
- Brand Representation: Serve as an ambassador for the brand, ensuring properties reflect brand identity and reputation; cultivate relationships with VIP guests, stakeholders, and industry partners.
- Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry innovations to adapt strategies, ensure competitive positioning, and drive market share growth.
Qualifications & Experience
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 10 years in hotel management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple properties or large-scale complex hotels. Experience in the Dubai hospitality market is essential.
- Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading very sizeable cross-functional teams, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and drive high performance within a culturally diverse environment.
- Financial Acumen: Strong background in financial management, including budgeting, P&L analysis, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
- Guest-Centric Mindset: Deep understanding of luxury service standards and a proven track record of delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Market Insight: Profound knowledge of the Dubai hospitality market, with an ability to respond strategically to local and global trends.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with an established network in the hospitality industry.
- Franchise Experience: As this will be working for a franchised property, experience working closely with both ownership groups and management companies is required.
